May 5th 2008 – XTech – Dublin, Ireland
Ni Hao, Monde: Connecting communities across cultural and linguistic boundaries
As social networking sites continue to grow and expand internationally, what does that mean for their members, and for the notion of “community
What can we do to facilitate communication between people no matter what language(s) they speak, or where they’re from? The aim of this session is to provoke thought as much as to answer questions; we’ll explore both practical implementable solutions and more theoretical “pie in the sky†ideas on how to make language and locale matter less online.
